A suspect has admitted to the fact that he uses charms to steal motorcycle from his victims.
The Niger State police imprisoned three men who reportedly belong to a gang of motorcycle theft terrorizing Ebbo community in the Lapai Local Government Area.
The suspects identified as Umar Idris, 21, Mohammed Gazuma, 24, and Emmnuel Titus, 24, all hail from Kpatsuwa village in the Abaji Area Council of Abuja were seen with a motorcycle suspected to be stolen and were subsequently crossed by police operatives.
Northern City News picked up news that the suspects used guns, charms and several weapons to attack their victims.
One of the suspects, Gazuma, told newsmen that he used charms to dispossess victims of their motorcycles. He said;
“The moment I stopped any of my victims with the charms on my palm, I will shake his hand and whatever I asked him to do, he will do it without question and I will make do with the motorcycle.”
Gazuma added that he assaulted only uncooperative motorcyclist who refused to part with their motorcycle.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mohammad Abubakar, said the suspects said the truth that they robbed one Abubakar Shuaibu of his motorcycle.
He also made it known that the operatives regained one motorcycle, one locally-made revolver pistol with one live ammunition, face disguise and charm from the suspects.
