Jamb Declares Exam Inconclusive; The Chief collation officer of Jamb Mr. Benjamin Fabian has declared 2019
Jamb examination conducted from 11th to 15th of April inconclusive.
His reason being that some of the students were caught using a scientific calculator and some were caught cheating in the exam hall while some brought the third party to write the exams for them and quite a great number of people missed their exams.
He also stated that out of 1.8 million people who wrote the exam, over 800 thousand people passed, over 300 thousand failed while over 600 thousand were sized.
Mr Benjamin also stated that according to chapter 3 vs 17 the examination act of the 1999 Constitution as amended which state “if the total number of the people who failed the exam and that of people whose results were sized is greater than the total number of people who passed the exam, then the exam should be declared inconclusive and new date will be fixed to complete the exam”.
According to him, he said that the total number of people whose results were sized and that of those who failed the exam is over 900 thousand compared to the over 800 thousands people who passed the exam.
So the exam is DECLARED INCONCLUSIVE and a new date for the exam will be communicated to the students via text messages and Emails.
He also urged all the students to go back to their books and apologise for the inconvenience.
