Facebook ceases to be in the top 10 of the most valuable brands in the world according to the latest Best Global Brands report prepared by the marketing and brand management consultancy Interbrand, which collects every year the 100 best valued brands in the world.

Mark Zuckerberg’s company falls to the 14th position, from the number 9 it occupied last year. In addition, its brand value has fallen by 12% over the previous year, remaining at 39,857 million dollars.

Facebook entered the ranking in 2012 at position number 69 and in just five years it was in eighth place on the list. However, as of 2018, following the Cambridge Analytica scandal, the firm began to decline and decline in the ranking.

On the other hand, Apple is in first position, which has experienced a 9% increase in the value of its brand reaching 234.241 million dollars. Next is followed by Google, which has increased the value of its brand by 8%, something that places it at 167,713 million dollars.

In third position, Amazon, whose increase in the value of its brand is very significant, is 24% and is positioned at 125,263 million dollars. Later, Microsoft, which occupies the fourth position, experiences an increase in the value of its brand of 17%. Microsoft is therefore valued at 108.847 million dollars.

Coca Cola breaks with the scheme of technology companies in first positions. The beverage company, although it has experienced a decrease in the value of its brand by 4%, stands at 63,365 million dollars.

Below the top 5 are Samsusng (+ 2%), Toyota (+ 5%), Mercedes (+ 5%), McDonald (+ 4%) and Disney (+ 11%), completing the top 10 on the list. It is, therefore, technology companies that have the most value globally, above the automotive and business services companies.
